FCMS joins the Yorkshire & Humber Care Record to deliver safer, more connected care

FCMS is proud to announce that we have rolled out access to the Yorkshire & Humber Care Record (YHCR) across our Doncaster services.

The YHCR securely connects health and care information from hospitals, GPs, mental health services, and social care providers into one shared record. This means our clinicians and managers can access a more complete, real-time picture of the care our patients have received – supporting safer, more holistic and efficient care.

Nicki Sherburn, FCMS Clinical Manager in Doncaster, said:

“The ability for our clinicians to access the YHCR will be a positive enhancement to the care we deliver. Being able to view real-time health and care information, across care providers and between different systems, supports decision making and allows us to deliver joined up, holistic, safer care. Its introduction will also reduce the time clinicians spend looking for information and prevent patients from needing to repeat themselves, leading to more efficient consultations.”

By adopting the YHCR through the South Yorkshire Shared Care Record Programme, FCMS joins 13 other NHS organisations, local authorities and all GP practices in the region in making care more connected and patient-focused.
