• Salary – £26.06 to £29.03 an hour Depending on experience PLUS, a Golden Hello of £1500 paid in two instalments over 6 months (External applicant only)
• Location – Rossendale Minor Injuries Unit, Rossendale Primary Health Care Centre, Rossendale, BB4 7PL

Main duties of the role

It is essential that applicants for this role have a depth of understanding and relevant experience in the assessment and management of minor injuries of both children and adults.

In addition, it will be the responsibility of the post holder, to clinically assess, diagnose and treat all aspects of minor injury presentations, exercising clinical expertise, levels of judgment, discretion and clinical decision making as demonstrated under agreed parameters and provide a high standard of autonomous care for patients of all ages.

Furthermore, the post holder will be expected to triage and signpost patients who arrive at the Minor injury unit, with illness presentations. It is expected however, for those patients who present as very unwell, emergency interventions are implemented until an ambulance arrives. There will also be opportunity to be able to remotely triage for other sites across FCMS on weekend shifts.
