Spirometry and FeNO assessments are often used alongside each other to help diagnose lung conditions, such as COPD, asthma, or other respiratory diseases.

We have a team of highly experienced respiratory nurses who can undertake COPD & Asthma reviews which includes performing and interpreting Spirometry and FeNO results.
Our nurses are able to perform reversibility testing to diagnose new respiratory conditions when required.
We currently offer 7 day a week service either in a venue of your choice or utilising our mobile unit covering all areas within the Lancashire and South Cumbria footprint. We have a fully managed service from booking the patient in to ensuring practices receive all information post appointment.
Results are sent back to the referring GP via EMIS or SystmOne on the day of the investigation, the clinician can also give an indication to the patients of the results.
What is Spirometry?
Spirometry is a simple test to diagnose and monitor certain lung conditions. It tests a patient’s lung function by measuring their inhalation, and how fast and easily they can exhale.
What is FeNO?
FeNO devices measure the ‘Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide’ in a patient’s breath. Nitric oxide is a marker for asthma which provides an indication of the level of inflammation in the lungs.
