Remote monitoring

We proactively meet the needs of our local communities by embracing and developing new ways of working. In August 2021 we began providing a Remote Monitoring service. This service supports patients with long-term conditions, such as diabetes, heart failure, or COPD

We offer a technology enabled care solution, where we can clinically assess and monitor patients in the comfort of their own home. This in turn helps to manage hospital care capacity, by reducing both readmissions and the time patients spend in hospital

Virtual Ward Management

FCMS began Virtual Ward management during the pandemic, and since has developed to include Acute Respiratory Infection and Cardiac. We currently provide virtual ward services on both the Fylde Coast and in Morecambe Bay

Our dedicated team of clinicians support primary and hospital care with the ongoing management of these patients, ensuring they receive the care and supervision they need, all without requiring admission to hospital

Covid-19 Services

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic FCMS has provided frontline Covid services including: swabbing, antibody testing and lateral flow testing, vaccinations and Pulse Oximetry

We have also provided Pulse Oximetry @ Home and also Covid Medication Delivery Unit (CMDU) services

GP Support

We utilise our skilled non-clinical team to support general practice with any staffing shortages. Our staff can assist practices with anything from administrative work to front line reception management

Health Checks

FCMS currently provide Health Checks with Blackpool Council. This is across a variety of accessible locations on the Fylde Coast including our repurposed single decker bus. You can see the latest dates and book an appointment here

Our teams can provide health checks offer that include measurements for weight, height, blood pressure, heart rhythm, lung capacity, and blood oxygen levels
