Place Based Care

Open 8am-8pm, 365 days a year, our GP led Urgent Treatment Centre has supported the population of Morecambe, Lancaster and the surrounding areas with a high quality, accessible service for over a decade.  We accept walk in appointments for patients with minor injuries, and have bookable appointments for urgent illness presentations, which can be accessed via NHS111.

FCMS also provides Blackpool Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) on Whitegate Drive (formerly the Walk in Centre)

Open 24/7, 365 days a year, our hard-working teams support patients presenting with minor injuries and illnesses. The team work very closely with the local NHS 111 service to ensure patients can be booked into our service with ease

Our UTC services are available to the Fylde Coast population and to temporary residents and visitors

This is a GP Led service with a multidisciplinary team of staff. 

Located at the Fleetwood Health & Wellbeing Centre on Dock Street, the centre is open from 8am – 8pm 7 days per week including Bank Holidays. X-Ray facilities are available Monday-Friday 9am – 4.30pm and pharmacy open Monday-Friday 9am – 6.30pm

In East Lancashire, we provide the Rossendale Minor Injuries Unit. Located in Rawtenstall we have a mix of highly skilled team members who treat minor injuries patients, offering both bookable and walk-in appointments. The service is located at the Rossendale Primary Health Care Centre and is operational 8am-8pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year

We provide the frontline reception service at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. Our experienced and extensively trained staff play a really important role in supporting patients to use the digital triage system. This ensures they arrive at the most appropriate location whether the Emergency Department, the neighbouring Urgent Treatment Centre (also provided by FCMS), pharmacy or self-care. 

We provide GP Out of Hours Services in Morecambe & Lancaster, on the Fylde Coast and also in West Lancashire.

These services are operational 6pm – 8am on weekdays and all-day weekends and bank holidays. Appointments are available via NHS111.

The Out of Hours service provides cover for local GP practices when they are closed for patients who need urgent medical attention

Operating 7 days a week we offer additional primary care hours across the Fylde Coast. The service includes evening and weekend routine appointments e.g. GP appointments, smear clinics, chronic disease management, phlebotomy clinics, ear syringing, and more. Appointments are booked via a patient’s own GP practice

Our dedicated Wound Care Team provide clinics for patients registered with a Fylde or Wyre GP currently in Fleetwood, St Anne’s and Freckleton
