Renovation work will soon be underway to create the cafe which will also have private meeting rooms, a new outdoor area and space for a gallery to showcase the latest children’s artwork.
FCMS has provided funding for the renovation work and staffing for the next four years and we’re delighted that this can progress with no cost to the school.
We know this will be a real hub for the local community and there will be lots of different ways to get involved, whether that’s coming along for a coffee or getting stuck in with the various volunteering options.
There’s lots of potential here and the future use and sessions on offer will be shaped by those that use it, so we’re excited to see how this evolves in the future.
Once everything is good to go the cafe should be open 8am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday, serving proper coffee and lots of delicious bites to eat.
It’s been a pleasure working with Flakefleet to make their vision a reality and we can’t wait to see the community cafe up and running!
