IHE Health Inequalities Report – FCMS Case Study

The UCL Institute of Health Equity has published a report – ‘Delivering NHS Services & Tackling Health Inequalities: A Case Study of the Social Enterprise FCMS’

The report focuses on our work in tackling health inequalities on the Fylde Coast. It highlights:

  • The role of social enterprise healthcare providers in the NHS
  • Health inequalities present on the Fylde Coast
  • The work FCMS has done to address these health inequalities in our existing service delivery and beyond
  • Commissioning for social action
  • The existing barriers and challenges 
  • Going further and what can be done in the future to further tackle local health inequalities

It has been an amazing experience working with the team to produce this report and we’re so grateful to all colleagues and partners who gave up their time to be intereviewed to support the project.
