Cardiac Remote Monitoring Service Goes Live

At FCMS we’re delighted to be supporting with a ground breaking new service for cardiac patients across the Fylde Coast!

This digitally enabled cardiac remote monitoring service is one of the first of its kind in the country and getting it up and running has been a fantastic team effort across FCMS, Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust, Lancashire & South Cumbria ICB and Docobo.

Patients who are waiting for cardiac surgery can opt into the service and will then be onboarded by the FCMS team. Remote monitoring can be reassuring for patients who know that their condition is being reviewed for any signs of deterioration and allows for an earlier intervention when needed.

Within FCMS this service is delivered by our Primary Care Support team and you can find out more about all the amazing work they do here: Primary Care Support Team

We’ve had great feedback so far on this service and you can see more on the Blackpool Teaching Hospitals website here: https://www.bfwh.nhs.uk/ground-breaking-remote-monitoring-tech-for-regions-cardiac-patients/
