The ethos of FCMS as a ‘not for profit’ health and wellbeing services provider is to be passionate in its drive to ensure that patients and callers remain the central focus of all that it does. Coupled with excellent and well established clinical governance systems and extremely effective operational expertise, it has meant that the company has the ability to strategically visualise, develop, and implement award winning services.

Over many years we have invested in our staff so that we have a core team of highly trained individuals who can manage the needs of our patients and callers.  Our staff are able to significantly improve the service delivery and user experience due to their considerable experience and commitment to what they do.

Successful in bid to provide 111 services across the North West

Began to operate face to face assessments of patients attending BVH A&E Department.

Drug and Substance Misuse Administration Service went live

Pilot provider of The Silver Line Service

Starting delivering 111 call handling service using NHS Pathways.

Began to manage and Deliver Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Urgent Care Centre

2009

CHC (now part of PDS medical) won Equitable access to Primary Care services in Fleetwood and Morecambe

2003

PDS Medical began delivering primary care based echocardiology service across 2 Fylde Coast Practices

2002

Won National Health and Social Care Award for Emergency Care

2000

Began to develop a multi-disciplinary clinical team with GPs, nurses, dentists, paramedics, mental health nurses and social workers

1999

Moved to the Out of Hours Primary Care Centre at 88 Whitegate Drive, Blackpool

1998

Began developing computerised patient clinical records

1997

A surgery based service became operational using Dermatology Out-patient facilities at Devonshire Rd.

December 21st 1994

Commenced as GP Co-operative across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. Purely a GP home visiting service. Devonshire Road Hospital used as an operational base.
